
Is the only museum of the banks in Indonesia, located in the center of Purwokerto. Bank Rakyat Indonesia for the first time established in Purwokerto by Raden Aria Wirjaatmadja with Hulp name Spaarbank En-Der Inlandsche Bestuurs Amatenaren or Bank Assistance Priyayi indigenous, on 16 December 1895, which then serve as the day the birth of BRI. After experiencing several of name of, among others, Cooperative Bank, Farmers and Fishermen (BKTN) 1960. Finally, in 1967 became the Bank Rakyat Indonesia. Bank Rakyat Indonesia Museum is opened daily to the public except on Friday and Saturday closed for maintenance and cleanliness.
